And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Just for giggles I just checked out Redding's record highs for June, July, August and September. They are 117°, 118°, 118° and 116°.
Not warm enough for you? Move 30 miles south to Red Bluff. Their record highs for those same months are 117°, 119°, 121° and 118°.
I'm 80 miles to the south at 1900' in the Sierra foothills. When it gets hot here I always make myself feel better by checking the temps in Redding and Red Bluff.
It was 90 here yesterday with a DP of 72 and I thought I was gonna die. The older I get, the more pussified I get. Put me in that aspen grove.

Worked outside one summer south of Redding. 118 three days in a row. Luckily, I prepped in Las Vegas when I was young.
