59 Plymouth -- I would drive that.

  1. My family had a car like that, a '58, white over black. I don't remember much about it, I was very young at the time.

  2. Drive it?! I'd settle for sitting on the tailgate for a ride around the neighborhood.

  3. I owned one in 1968 and rebuilt the 318 engine in it.

  4. We had a Vista Cruiser in the 60's. I remember sleeping in the back cargo area on long trips.

    1. We had two Vista Cruisers, one in the mid-60's, the second in the early 70's, bigger and badder. Both had that Rocket 350 and that unique Olds-GM sound. They were terrific cars. I have the same kind of memories, driving straight through from NE to Florida for winter break, us kids huddled in sleeping bags stretched out in the back.

  5. We were a Vista Cruiser family, and I'm still fond of station wagons. These old wagons are commanding some serious dollars nowadays.
