And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
We had two Vista Cruisers, one in the mid-60's, the second in the early 70's, bigger and badder. Both had that Rocket 350 and that unique Olds-GM sound. They were terrific cars. I have the same kind of memories, driving straight through from NE to Florida for winter break, us kids huddled in sleeping bags stretched out in the back.
My family had a car like that, a '58, white over black. I don't remember much about it, I was very young at the time.

DeleteWe were a Vista Cruiser family, and I'm still fond of station wagons. These old wagons are commanding some serious dollars nowadays.
