And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Seems I read where the F150 Lightnings were splitting blocks at extreme boost levels. Apparently the later 5.8 / 351W Roller blocks would fail right around the 500RWHP level, Supercharged.
Had an Alfa (aluminum block and head) with a crack like that except you couldn't see the separation. Been left out in the winter by the previous owner with just water coolant. There was a former Delta mechanic close to me who took it in. It's been about 55 years and I forget the term, but he needed gas to weld it. Finally, he said "To hell with it" and welded it anyway and apologized for the sloppy job. Didn't look sloppy to me. He took it over to Delta and had it magnafluxed. Still had connections I guess. Great to work with a pro.
Nothing a little JB weld can’t fix…
ReplyDeleteI’ll take those heads now that you don’t need them…

There are two kinds of cast aluminum parts: Broken ones and ones that are about to break.
