  1. That's 6x45 each side +45 for the bar, squatting 585 pounds.... not bad.

    1. Do they have bigger diameter bars? Any idea how many pounds they're rated to?

      Could be an "I want my money back!" moment. For the gym owner.

    2. 7 per side. 14 total + bar weight (standard weight also 45 lbs) although the bar being used here looks inferior thus possibly a little lighter than a standard 45 lbs bar. 15 x 45 = 675 lbs. It appears the lifter is doing short power squats, ( not breaking parallel ), not full squats. This type of lifting is use to strengthen the tendons and ligaments to ultimately achieve greater lifting power/gains.
