  1. Woodpecker's makes some very nice stuff that you keep in a special drawer, and it's made in small lots. I have a few of their layout gizmos, very well thought-out in my view.

  2. There stuff is notoriously and unnecessarily expensive.
    I have a fleet of squares and all of them together didn't cost half what that thing does. And after 40 years of use they've more than paid for themselves. If you have to keep it in a gusseyed up box in a drawer and if you're terrified you'll damage it, as far as I'm concerned it is worthless.

  4. Of somewhat limited utility in 100 year old houses which may have factored a square in their construction but over time this has become less and less a factor
