And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
ME TOO! Lately I've given up on bacon, it all seems to be just pig fat with occasional bits of meat in there...somewhere. Even the premium brands are mostly fat. I saw that and thought, "If bacon were that meaty, I'd go back to buying it again."
While replacing a water heater in a friends store I found a very nasty piece of wood behind it, a 2x4 about 4' long. Probably been back there for decades. I threw it in the truck and brought it back to the shop. I ran all 4 sides through the planer and trimmed up the ends. The most beautifully grained red cedar I had ever seen. I machined it into smaller pieces, glued them up, and turned them on my lathe into 4 gorgeous bowls that I sold on Etsy for $30 each. From a nasty piece of wood. You can't judge a wood by it's cover.
Is it bad that my first thought was that is some large bacon
ReplyDeleteNope. No sir. Not bad at all.
