And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

One is good and one is bad. You can tell by the hats.
One good. One Bad? I don't know. I'd have to try both out to see which one wound up looking "Rode Hard and Put Away Wet". On second thought probably in both cases it'd be me.
Calvary holsters, back in the black powder and percussion cap era. Takes too long to reload and holding the reins in the left hand the calvaryman had twelve shots to deliver on horseback.
Looks like a couple of Cowboy Mounted Shooter competitors. It is normal to wear both pistols in front as they have to unholster, shoot, holster the first gun, then unholster the 2nd gun, and shoot the back half of the course. All at a full gallop. Even shooting blanks at balloons, it's a fast paced, fun sport.
Yep. I have a couple of nieces that are into that. Really fun to watch folks that are good at it. I'm a competition action pistol shooter and their pistol skills impressed the hell out of me, to say nothing of their riding skills, which I have none.
and the first name of each is "M'am"
ReplyDeleteI'm kinda nervous about how their carrying those firearms. I mean come on!
ReplyDeleteThat is kinda unusual. Never seen 2 like that before.
