And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Andrea Kowch (American, b. 1986) Two Rural Sisters
McMenamins Old St Francis School hotel in Bend, Oregon has a series of very creepy portraits in the hall and the rooms. Each portrait is of an actual person in Bend history. When you read the profiles underneath, they turn out to be local heroes.
I would definitely steer clear of that farm. They look like they could be the cast from American Horror Stories.
