Stopping by for a delicious sip of jet fuel

  1. Just wait until AOC and The Hollowman change aircraft to EV's, that'd make for a lengthy and interesting mid-air recharging. Altho...maybe the entire fuselage could be made from solar panels to maintain battery levels.

    1. Weird with the new comment deal...won't allow Google sign in, automatically goes to "anonymous", have to hand type "name" (fine).

I guess if it works the s/w dudes have to fix it, like they're writing a novel.

  4. Interesting picture. The F-14 used Navy style pardrogue/hose refueling and he doesn't have his refueling probe extended. They didn't use the flying boom Air Force style aerial refueling. For Navy the receiver is male and the tanker is female. The receiver has to hit the basket with the probe. For Air Force it's the opposite and the refuel boom probe has to hit the receptacle on the aircraft. I think you can see a little of the paradrogue below the boom. The KC-135 and KC-10 Tankers can do either. KC130H and KC130J Tankers are Navy/Marine paradrouge style only. The Navy also has a "buddy" paradrogue pod they can put on an F-18 to send up to refuel another F-18. When you're out there in the middle of "Gods Vast Ocean" you need to ready for anything.
