And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Yep, Johnny Quest Bugs Bunny, Great Escape (the jump ) and DAD lecturing me like Col.Ripper (Mandrake) Yep best of times, Or the guy with the NEW Olds Tornado doing full front wheel burn outs for us kid's.
If the 2022 Disney Productions gets ahold of this cartoon adventure series, they'll be separating the adult male characters from the boys with prybars.
There is no "h" in Jonny Quest. People always get that wrong. Supposedly Robert Rodriguez is holding the rights to a live action film version but I don't think it will ever get off the ground because todays movie audience never heard of it. Also, Tim Matheson was the original voice for Jonny.
They'll just have to get rid of "Race" Bannon (symbol of toxic masculinity) replace Jonny's scientist Dad with a black woman and the Indian kid with an emotionally disconnected and misunderstood female to male tranny. Other than that it's good to go.....
Let's not forget that Jonny actually killed several enemies in the original. I guess in the re-boot he'll buy them a soy latte so they can sit and talk about their wittle feewings.
Hollywood won't even both to make a Reboot of this, there's SO MUCH Toxic Masculinity, Stereotypes, Guns, Violence and Dr. Quest NEVER mentioned Climate Change once....the screen writers would need hours of therapy after just watching the opening credits.

ReplyDeleteJQ was awesome, but I never did see the episode with the spider-eyeball that they have in the opening credits.

DeleteThis is 2022, fellas. Everything is woke. There is no way that they'll ever remake a series with a character named "Hadji".
DeleteDon't go with the natives, Dr. Quest!
ReplyDeleteLoved that show as a kid.
ReplyDeleteGreat theme music too.
ReplyDeleteJonny Quest was to cartoons what Forbidden Planet was to science fiction movies.
ReplyDeleteThere were just blah, blah, blah, blah...then BOOM!
Agree with me, or be wrong. (c:
My absolute FAVORITE as a kid, now I’m 60. No fear of firearms by anyone back then.
ReplyDeleteMy 60th birthday is in a couple of months, and I'm 100% with you on that. For me, no other Saturday morning cartoons even came close to Jonny Quest.
