  1. Way back in the 50's every small car was an "Austin", even our two Crosleys.

  2. Nice looking car but they don't show you the Lucas electrics or the Stromberg carburettors.

    1. Point given regards Lucas. No experiece with Stromberg but unless worser, canna be no worse than dash-pot'n SU! Ahhh, good old British Black-Smithery!

    2. Isn't Lucas electrics also known as prince of darkness?

  3. Most likely worth a small kings ransom now. I regret selling my 1947 English Ford Thames Pannel. Just ran out of storage room and parts are almost impossible to find. Much easier to keep old Volkswagen transporters (3), beetles an a Meyer's Manx's. Volkswagen parts are still available.

  4. I love the looks of old vehicles like this. I determined some decades ago I'd never again buy a new vehicle (my first wife, hereinafter known as "The She Devil") after the ex wrecked it just two payments shy of it being paid off. However, were we to get a car made well and looking like that, yeah, I'd go find a job and go back to work for that.
