And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
My first ship in the Navy was the USS Preserver ARS8. Her helm was a huge wheel that came off a Naval vessel from the 20s. Now I cant confirm that but that sucker was old. It was a setup of cables and chains assisted by electric motors to assist the Helmsman in moving the wheel. Basically, it was easy when everything worked. When it didnt work it was switched to mechanical and it took two to move that wheel. Lots of crazy times are brung back any time I see an old Ships Helm!
