  3. If he can also nail sliders and curve balls, hold off pitches outside the zone and get a proper bat he would make it in the big leagues.

  4. So? Look at the picture. Scabbard and hilt are in line with the pitching machine, all he has to do is draw and it's an automatic hit.

    Now do that with the scabbard in normal position, more vertical, along the side of the leg, or from a sitting position.

    It's like the tatami mat slice. Ooooooo, so haaaaard to slash through a rolled mat. Actually, no, it isn't. And you don't need an especially sharp sword to do it with. Just cut on a downward angle while aiming 2 feet down and to the left of the mat.

  5. More like a snowball.
    Zero resistance or pushback when the sword hit it.
    Anything harder than butter, even if the sword was razor-sharp, and one-handing it would have shown some bounce.
