The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Engine looks too small for a bus (destination sign above windshield). Might be an accessory power supply, perhaps for an AC system. That's where the generator is located for rear engine RV's now. Those run from 6.5kw to 14kw. Some (not all) slide out just like that. The slide setup cost extra.
Looking at more photos, it does appear to be the main engine that slides out. Full size radiator hidden behind that grill/sheet metal. Inadequate airflow capability, I suspect. Later production buses have much larger grill area.
I'm wondering how they connected to the driveline. Some sort of plugin socket, I assume. A splined shaft that long would not be practical.
Wonder how it connects to the drive train? Hmmm.
ReplyDeleteA simple splined shaft would do it. It is awfully clever.
ReplyDeleteConcur! The work of A Very Clever Chap, Indeed!
DeletePrankster bait!
