  1. Glacial valley - you can tell by the U shape rather than the V shape of a typical river valley - no doubt filled with ice until only a few decades ago when brutal global warming/climate change/weather melted the ice all away.

  2. This is the Saral Lake in the Neelam Valley of Pakistan. It is at 13,600 feet altitude. Was there ever a glacier there in historic times?

    Laguna Azul, some 50 miles from Baroloche, Argentina. You cannot get there without tent and stove and machete. And you had better be in superb physical condition.
