  1. AH, the good old West-Side highway. I have many fond memories of sailing down that elevated megalith. However, it was a few years after the Normandie flipped over.

  2. Burned and capsized during troopship rebuild in 1942, was scrapped after the war. (I had to look)

  3. SS Ile de France, caught fire during a refit in NY after the US entering WWII. Capsized due to the amount of water poured on it in an attempt to put the fire out. Was scrapped in place subsequently.

  4. On her way to the breaker's yard the retired Ile de France was partially sunk to film the 1960 Robert Stack & Dorothy Malone film The Last Voyage.
