The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? I was passenger ona SWA 737 landing in San Jose, CA and watched, as we were landing, a small red private plan do a barrel roll over another plane on the other runway. neither got more than 100 feet of the ground. It was death on a stick.
That looks like a pricey accident...
