And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

I'd like to hear the explanation of how that happened
Forty years in the industry here, it's definitely the storage tanks, more than likely a short in one of the electric submerged pumps. Judging from the flames and flying manhole covers, the farthest away in the vid. Damn, that's funny.
Heh! Yes, an almost empty fuel tank with a nice fuel/air mist mixture inside along with an overheated or sparky pump.
Most don't read the fine print on those pumps, but they say "do not allow pump to run tank dry, must be submerged for cooling and safety" or something pretty close to that.

It definitely looks like the tank field, over pressurized??? Not clear, maybe a spark in a tank with enough oxygen to blow??

That's not an equation. Not enough data.

ReplyDeleteI feel the sky tumbling down.
All were lucky Allah wasn't pissed at them.
Electrical short circuit in an almost empty tank. Either a sub-pump or tank monitor shorted. Very unusual.
