I'm trying to imagine how this kind of front-wheel placement would affect driving if it was used on modern streetworthy cars? Anyone have any idea? Would it be an improvement or a bad idea?
The reason for so far forward is big ass heavy engine over front wheels. Need to get weight transfer to back wheels to try to control understeer. Moving front wheels forward does this and moving engine back. Most of the driver seats are almost over the rear wheels. BTW that's over a $100,000,000.00 in vehicles today. Pretty pricey then too.
Maybe that lessens the tendency to oversteer.
ReplyDeleteHad to move it forward cause the engine was so deep.
ReplyDelete12 qt oil pan.
Gotta drop engine temp somehow.
