  1. only 10 miles of terra firma between us and a ocean of liquid rock 10,000deg F. Pretty cool, huh?

  3. And we were there just a year ago. All we did was freeze our butts off on the standard tours, pay ungodly amounts for a hamburger and fight the crowds at the Blue Lagoon. That! would have been worth the price of admission ;>}

  4. When you're alone and life is making you lonely
    You can always go - downtown.
    When you've got worries all the noise and the hurry
    Seems to help I know downtown.
    Just listen to the music of the traffic in the city
    Linger on the sidewalk where the neon signs are pretty
    How can you lose?
    The lights are much brighter there
    You can forget all your troubles, forget all your cares
    So go downtown
    Things will be great when you're downtown
    No finer place for sure downtown
    Everything's waiting for you.

  5. So..how many eruptions are ongoing in Iceland right now? Is this one Fagradalsfjall caldera, or is it from the new Geldingadalir caldera on the other side of the mountain? I was thinking there is only one active lava flow at the moment, but I am also reading there is a lot of earthquake activity at the other Icelandic volcanoes that might be signalling the onset of new activity.
