Iceland, in winter, living up to its name

  1. Ice crystals are captivatingly beautiful.

On one of my many forays into Yosemite adter the first real snow, I came upon a sight to behold. It was magical; a mountain meadow 'neath a blanket of delicate crystals. The sun played brilliant and gleamed in a thousand different spectrums upon millions of crystals.

Unfortunately, I had not the right lens filters for my cameras. None of my many photographs captured the scene. Yet in my mind I shall ever behold that glorious vistage.

Yeah, it truly is a 'You had to be there' moment. My words fail. Everyone owes it to themselves to go forth to witness it for yourselve.
