And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
When a guy could open a sh without government regulating and taxing him out of business, or as we have now, being told he’s “nonessential”, another government control feature.
And nearby would be a several acre Junkyard filled with a few hundred beat-up old wrecks where the dirt is saturated 2 feet deep with oil, gas, anti-freeze and other auto fluids. Back in the day I use to walk around places like that just to take in the sweet refined fossil-fuel aromas.
Yeah, points, plugs and condensers twice a year...change the the oil and check the water regularly....and your good for 10-20 yrs...(I like to keep 'em a long time!)
10 to 20 years! Not in a 50's or 60's vintage car. I bought a lot of '57 Chevy's and early 60's in highschool. None of them had more than 80k miles, and the engines were worn out, burning lots of oil. Most cost me $75. The ragtop was $125. Eleven year old cars. My '65 Mustang went through 3 stock engines before I sold it in '73, and it only had about 100k miles.
