  1. With rust like that on the bumper I bet the frame is worse.

I have a neighbor that had extended cab 4x4 Taco that was about 10 years old. He bought it new and drove it for about 3 years until he inherited a Honda Accord which became his daily driver. He would dive the truck just enough to keep the battery charged. He pulled out of his drive and the truck broke in half when he hit the bump on the road. The frame had rusted through. It had less than 60K miles with no rust on the body.

  2. That seems to be on the versions that had the air conditioner drain dripping right on the frame rail. I have an 03' 4X4 Taco and the frame rails look brand new but we don't salt roads around here. I've been keeping an eye on it though because I've seen too many stories about broken Tacomas. At over 250,000 miles the interior is going all to pieces around the drivers seat but it drives like a new truck.
