I have heard of them, but are they edible and what kind of meat?
That's the British spelling. Here in America, it's grayling. ;-)
As a Southron I don't know of them. Are they good to eat? Full of fine bones like a Trout?
Member of the whitefish family. Soft, white meat. Easy to catch on a fly. Don't get very big.
Yup. Little black flies or small Mepps spinners, 1's and 0's, does the trick.
yes, they are tasty, pretty mild. The meat does not freeze well.
