And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Sinatra chillin' at home, 1965.
Is that a bowl of cigarettes on the table?
And I guess that TV is the big screen version for the mid sixties.
"Wouldn't you really rather have a Buick.....a Buick for '65 Buick"....Sinatra did that commercial....couldn't find the one with Frank, but this was the tune... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oizl5KF0e2E
I want that sound system. The reel to reel, the speakers, there's a turntable hiding behind the big door on the right. Crank that all up and watch the buddhas dance!

That bowl of smokes!😁
ReplyDeleteBack when we smoked on planes, Guns hanging in the cab of your pickup truck, and people weren't offended over everything
DeleteThat is a bowl of cigarettes.... maybe it was Halloween the day they took that pic 😂
ReplyDeleteDo you think Frank picked his dog's poop? I'm betting the dog was a prop for the photo.
ReplyDeleteI'll bet you lunch he never used the word "poop."
DeleteNo bet!

ReplyDeleteWhat about the clown or harlequin painting in the darkened hallway? Creepy or not? Y'all decide.
ReplyDeleteYeah, probably $10 worth of cigarettes in that bowl........compare that to today!
ReplyDeleteThe early '60s... The new cool stacked on top of the classical civilization. If only they'd realized what they had.
