Impressive, but where do you store the fuel to run it?

  1. I kinda think that the rear fuselage is at the body and fender shop. But the image does convey the size and power of the engine.
    What's the model?

    1. My guess would be a MiG-19 based on the strakes on the wing. Could be wrong.

    2. I'm not looking at photos anywhere else to confirm, but doesn't the MiG-19 have squared off wingtips? I was going to suggest a British Comet (vomit), but that's only from memory too.

  2. Extension cord. Long extension cord.

  3. Mig 17. Wing sweep angle, rounded wingtips, and single Mikulin powerplant give it away.

  4. I realize it's old, but it brings it home to us pedestrians how much these fighter jets are just a few little odd bits stuck around an engine.

  5. MiG 17 late model with an afterburner
