And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Wonder what all those gantries were for. Pretty good condition for an old riveted bridge. Must be a fairly arid northern state if the paint is still partly intact.
There is an old railroad bridge here (near the Wild Turkey Distillery), now closed, that was in such bad condition that they used to send the train across by itself and walk after it.
Any ideas on where this is?
