And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Barber Poling - Some impressive energy release right there
I lived in Brewster MA @2004. Almost got killed by a tree coming down on the way to the barn. Funny thing was, the next AM across the street in the sate park, there were about 100 trees that looked like that. At the time I thought they looked like cigars that had been twisted. This is a better way of describing the result.
There will be more energy released when someone puts a chainsaw on it. Won't be me that's for sure.
