And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Many a contest of courage (aka stupidity) took place there in the '80s. I look back at them fondly.

ReplyDeleteI did that a few times. I also jumped out of a C-130 quite a few times. I didn't really care for it but I liked the extra pay.
It was long before cell phones had cameras.
didn't mind out the ramp, troop doors sucked me against the fuselage too many times getting my combat aircrew quals back in the 70's
