And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Mrs. CW got me one like this, and it's proven to be really handy.
I have one of those, two remote digital cooking thermometer, and a assortment of analog cooking thermometers. The digital ones I use at the grill and smoker.
Either way, at 85.5 degF that person is in big trouble.
Incidentally I once read that a report on characteristics of people found recently dead from exposure (recently as in "within hours") in a particular city showed that many decedents had a rectal temperature of 87 deg F (or so, I don't remember exactly, but it was all the same temp). So a researcher became curious as to why this was the case. Was there something special, magical even, about 87F? He did some digging around: Turns out that 87F was the lowest temp marked on the thermometers they used on the corpses.
Back on topic, I have a similar food thermometer, and it IS very handy.
