Friday Open Road

  1. The guy siting on the dead fall over what appears to be the Snake River - the place looks familiar to me, and it it's the Snake River, I know exactly where he was. I've used that deadfall to fish deeper in the current.

    1. According to image search it's Marble Canyon in Kootenay National Park, British Columbia, Canada. Beautiful, either way.

  2. The Dawg in the lake (of course), but I also like the dead fall bench.

    1. I do too, I had a 68 C-10 2WD Stepside with a stove bolt 6 with a three on the tree with only power brakes... A complete fleet truck, no chrome anywhere and I loved it. One of the few I have owned I wish I never let go...

    2. I learned to drive in a '66 C10 Suburban, 283 V8 and Saginaw 3-speed. To engage 1st gear you had to move the column shifter up towards reverse, then drop it into gear.
That Sub was a great truck. I hoped to get it someday but Dad sold it because it really wasn't up to pulling our 33' Airstream. He replaced it with an IHC Travellall.
