And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Great opening shot, lots of visual interest there. And the Babe on the Jeep, of course! But I think I'm going with the zigzag for some reason. Cool pic but my leg muscles are burning after looking at it. Strange.
I thought it was a road at first glance. I see by your followup that it is a trail. I find switch-backed roads kind of compelling. There is a great year round stretch of highway leading out of Osoyoos, British Columbia that has a very tight hairpin curve that has a lookout that is very close to the Canada/USA border.

ReplyDeleteAny idea where the switch-backed road is?
ReplyDeleteI think it is in Zion National Park, but I could be wrong.

DeleteGreat Friday photoset as always. I look forward to these. If interested, this is the Osoyoos site I mentioned.
