Kaboom!

This really is your good news of the day!

The leader in the race to replace retiring U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA) in America’s most liberal state is… Republican Condoleezza Rice, according to a new Field Poll released Wednesday. Rice, the former Secretary of State and Stanford don, is backed by 49% of voters–ahead of Attorney General Kamala Harris, the liberal Democrat who was the first to declare.

Cool facts about Condi Rice:

She speaks fluent Russian, and while Secretary of State would often startle unsuspecting Russians by speaking to them in their own tongue.

Her name, Condoleezza, derives from the music-related term con dolcezza, which in Italian means, "with sweetness".

She is an excellent pianist, good enough in fact that she accompanied cellist Yo-Yo Ma playing Johannes BrahmsViolin Sonata in D Minor at Constitution Hall in April 2002 for the National Medal of Arts Awards.

She would be such an improvement over that scum Boxer, and the radical Kamala Harris, that I can't even quantify the enormous difference.  Please, sweet Jesus, grant we long suffering Californians the good judgement and grace to elect Ms. Rice to Congress!

  2. I'd rather have her as President, but this sounds pretty good for America too.

  3. No, electing or appointing her to any position of public responsibility would be a disaster that perpetuates the very worst problems that our nation currently endures.

    Why, you ask?

Because, when President Bush wanted to do away with Affirmative Action, it was Colin Powell and Condoleeza Rice who persuaded him to keep it in force.

  4. It was reported in the news.

Was I the ONLY person who read it?

Of course, it was a couple of years ago when it was reported, so naturally, I can't remember the source.

But, maybe you might find it with a Google search.
