And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

El Delfin (dolphin) 7c+, 5.13a in Rodellar, Northern Spain
Best I was able to do in my youth was a 5.10b face climb at Cosumnes Cliffs.
Could have been. I'll get out the photo album, copy the pictures and post them.
I don't recall the names of those routes, but the face climb was indeed just to the right of a great layback route, which had a slight but challenging overhang at the beginning. Great view and sound from the Cosumnes River just below, wasn't it? That river has nice trout in it too. When I had the time I'd catch a few downstream at the end of the day.
Where was the picture taken from?

Wow, and I get shaky on a step ladder.
DeleteBetter you than me.
ReplyDeleteHa, was it adhesion just to the right of that layback called test piece? That was my first, and probably last, 5.10.
