And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Nice!
No way that's street legal without fenders or a windshield.
I'm seriously thinking about this now. There are a few things to add to the basic unit (racing seats, for example and winch forward and winch reverse). It also requires a dedicated place for recovery gear and spare parts (axels come to mind) there in the rear.
But, you'd have something nearly unique, and it would really get the attention on the road, for about the price of any midsize Euro luxury car. Much more fun than a run of the mill BMW.
And then you have to add the cost of the flat bed to haul it. Yes, it's street legal in AZ, but there are places where I'd like to take it that it is not street legal. And I'm not convinced that I'd want to keep the Ford Excursion engine. I'm thinking of a new 6.2L engine that they have in the Raptor, which is a balzy motor, and can be supercharged into a Velociraptor.
Jeepers trailer their tricked out rigs all the time - so that's no problem. Can you get a 6.2L crate motor? While you are at it, might as well add a few cup holders for the beer! ;-)
Cup holders are high on the list. Yes, I can get a crate motor. Maybe send it to Hennessey for the upgrade to 600 HP. They're not only in Texas. They have a location freeway close to me. http://youtu.be/14ctFanQt7o
Street legal in AZ. Not in CA.
ReplyDeleteFurthermore, I really want one.
DeleteYou and me both.
DeleteThat would be fun. Would be ripping off that arm rest when bailing to get the first gate...
ReplyDeleteMOAB here I come!!!

ReplyDeleteIt's an $80K problem to do it right - by the time you're ready to roll off the shop floor.

DeleteI'm not arguing with you, more laying out a plan for myself.
DeleteI like the plan.

DeleteShotgun!
ReplyDeleteIt would be handy around the farm as an alternate tractor.
Deleteor for herding Nevada cows...
DeleteAt first glance I saw your caption as "No way that's street lethal - to which I thought, "Surely you jest."
