Taking off or landing?

  1. Well, since it's AI, it doesn't matter

    1. I love everyone in AI is a taxi driver with their arm out of the window, like he doesn't need both hands on the yoke.

    2. AI places signatures on its work?

    3. To Anon #2,
Anyone can us AI and then sign it, that is AI. I happen to do 3d art ( without AI) There is no true water refraction, light source inaccurate, build inaccurate and nobody lands a flying tugboat one handed with your arm out the window.

I can take a marker and sign the Washington Monument, still won't ever make me the builder.

  2. Is this a PBY Catalina? It looks like the flaps are extended (behind the propellers). But, from what I've read, the PBY did not need or have flaps due to its large wing surface. Landing or taking off? Could be either, but I lean toward takeoff.

    1. Flaps don't have trim tabs so those are the elevators in the full nose down position. If the plane was moving it would be about to dig its nose in and flip onto its back. Someone used a pic of the plane sitting on the ramp, blurred the props and added the water.

  4. Much easier to get oneself into position for a photo on takeoff.

  5. Were the PBY Catalina's ever retrofitted with flaps? This appears to be a painting (notice the signature)
