Perhaps the interglacial warm period is ending.

  1. Back in the '90s, my employer held a 10-year contract with the National Science Foundation to provide logistics and support services for all U.S activities in Antarctica. I was the Contract Manager (I did admin work and reported to the Project Manager) for 5 of those years. We even procured an icebreaker for the NSA under that contract. Unfortunately, we had to hand off that ice breaker to a new prime contractor when the contract was awarded to a different company at the expiration of our contract. The prime contract is currently held by Liedos.
Very interesting work being performed down there which most people are not even aware of.

CW, I agree with your assessment of the "climate scientists", most of whom are bought and paid for with US taxpayer dollars.

  4. I had to laugh when, a few years ago; I think it was early last decade during Obozo's second reign when the Demonrats were raising all kinds of ballyhoo about globull warming, a survey ship was sent to Antarctica in southern summer to study "declining sea ice extent" and promptly got stuck fast in the ice. The ship was so stuck, it had to be rescued by an ice breaker.

  5. It's all about money.

Al "the bore" Gore made millions on his bull$ht book about "the end" being near.

And just in time for him to leave office, "Old - Slow Joe" just signed an insane bill that will grant billions to make a feeble attempt to control the weather.
