Too Much Torque

  4. Snapped the axle, the small curved piece is the brake shoe.

    1. If that was the case, wouldn’t the broken part still be connected to the wheel? Looks to me like he sheared the lug nuts off.

  7. Week broke at the outer bearing. Brake hub is still attached to the wheel by the lugnuts. Thus brake shoe ripped from the backing plate. By the way, torque is your friend, weak parts are what you are trying to avoid.(obviously.)
