  4. I had something like this long ago. IIRC, I wasn't too hot on the thing because I think I remember that it twisted the line really bad.

  6. Its loading the reel incorrectly. The feed spool should be unwound on the same plane as the reel: spinning reel on the horizontal and jigging or bait casting on the vertical. That is why lines get all twisted and funky after casting.

    1. Only because it is locked into its position. The knurled silverish collar this side of the spool is the lock. Unlocked, it moves around so as to always be in the correct position. I have one of these (models) and it works great.

  7. A spike on a post or board works just as good I'd think. And cheaper

  8. I have a broken rod and a pegboard with a long arm peg. I do use a half ounce weight on the line for a little tension.
