    1. I wish I knew where to learn more about it. It's such a marvel of design.

    4. Thank you. A good look shows the throttle linkage coming up, rotating a bellcrank, driving a plate with three holes that control the airflow from the stacks, and the other side is driven from this sliding plate. How quickly the whole thing happens can be adjusted by changing the length of the input arm of the bellcrank.
Look at the balance, with the transmission behind the axle. The thing weighs what? Engine and transmission plus four hundred pounds? Good Grief!!
I didn't read anything yet, just went lustfully looking at the pictures.

  3. Like to find one of those heavy duty compact transaxles for a v-8 mid engine project.

    1. Porsche 924, 944 and 928s used a transaxle. The 928 had around 300hp in the high performance models.

  4. Back in 1967, I had a buddy while we were in the Marines. He was a major motor head. We'd go on liberty from Camp Pendleton and drive up to Riverside to watch the Formula One races. WOW!!! For a kid that thought a 57 Chevy was "hot"!!!
