And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Made an enormous pot of corn chowder today. Probably gonna take three or four days to devour, but it's rainy weather, so about perfect.
I'll be right over to help you with that. And I'll bring a loaf or two of Sourdough French Bread with me.

DeleteMade a pot of Potato soup the other day. Took 3 days to eat it. I'm ready for another pot. BTW, the soup looks warm, comfy and delicious. Nice.

ReplyDeleteNot to pick nits, but it's Corn Chowder. If it had clams in it, it would be Clam Chowder, not Corn Chowder.
DeleteCorn chowder -- yum! Sometimes I put cubed chicken or kielbasa in mine. And it freezes beautifully for perfect MRE's.
