And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
My boss commuted in a Jag...you'd hear the Jag, and then the blip of a siren as the cops pulled him over. He said it was almost worth paying the tickets to drive to work. He went on vacation for two weeks and a cop stopped by to see if he was OK. that was LA in the sixties.

Thanks, Al. That helps.
DeleteThe Alpha has a beautiful shape. But I'd take the Jag.
ReplyDeleteIf I could own a car like that, I wouldn't need to commute
ReplyDeleteI’d deliver DoorDash in it 24/7 and still couldn’t afford the first payment.
