And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I have one of those. When you need it you need it. Most of the time it rattles around in the bottom drawer of my rollaway. But every once in a while it's just the thing.
I love the picture of the plumber/handyman making quick easy work of using the thing. There's never enough room under that sink, and there you are, on your back, with a flashlight in your teeth that never has quite enough light, and you're trying to squeeze some tool up into the back of that sink.
The tool prolly helps, but this is a horrible chore no matter how good the tool.
and...while you're laying on your back, trying to see around the drain pipe, and contorting yourself to reach the nut, water and little pieces of rust drop in your eyes.
Useful to whom? Home "handyman" kitsch.
ReplyDeleteOwned one for a while now. Comes in handy.
ReplyDeleteI bought one and took it back because it was too fat to fit into the narrow clearance between the nut and the sink wall.

ReplyDeleteThat's assuming the nut will even turn. Generally they won't/ Limned and corroded into place forever.

Amen. Working under the sink is probably my least favorite chore.
