And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Yeah, I am trying to figure out how that sight is of any use at all. Think about how that weapon and how it is supposed to be fired.
Plus it's anachronistic - 1870's weapon with a 2020 sight. It is visually displeasing. Sort of like a 60's muscle car on giant rims with low profile tires.
Shame about the retarded optic. And the wrong cowboy stamped on it. Damned kids these days don't know nothin' 'bout nothin', and don't know what they don't know.
I was just in a antique store today and saw a like holster with a open toe or end for a shotgun. Should have taken a picture and will next Friday when I'm in town. We'll see!
Ha wait to you try a Mare’s leg in 44 mag with an underbarrel mounted laser! You cant shoulder the thing so you just point and whatever the laser tags, goes away upon pulling the trigger. Its like a magic wand
The tacti-cool sight completely ruins it for me…
ReplyDeleteThey work WAY better than standard sights.
DeleteLOL, never had to use a Mares Leg with old school sights, I see.
ReplyDeleteI see that you don't realize the "tactical" sights are equally useless.
DeleteSeems to work as of last evening at our cowboy action shoot.

The obvious answer is to dress up that optic in steam punk.
DeleteThe guy who does that would make a fortune as many shooters will buy anything if it is cool looking.
I like the belt and open scabbard.
Lose that sight and you've got a winner!
ReplyDeletemcqueen is laughing
ReplyDeleteBut it's got to be authentic, it's got a picture of a cowboy stamped on it ! Is it Josh Randall?
ReplyDeleteThat is the Henry logo, for those who pay attention
DeleteSteve McQueen and Chuck Connors (aka The Rifleman) are both laughing.
ReplyDeleteLooks like they have Luke MaCaine stamped into the leather instead of Josh Randall.
ReplyDeleteLucas
DeleteNice rig.

That can't be Josh Randall's Mare's Leg. It's not a .45-70.
ReplyDeleteHeh.
the mare's leg was a '92, I think.
ReplyDeleteI still have my Marx Toy Co. version.

ReplyDeleteMy wife gave me a Mare's Leg (or is it Laig?) for my birthday one year. It's silly, but a lot of fun.
