A Handy Tool

  1. I have a similar folding hand saw and it really works well.

  2. Those are the handiest tools, and survival tools, you can ever own.
I miss the $5 wooden-handled ones, which would rust from age (and cheap steel) before they'd ever wear out or break. Not a fan of a plastic handle. Probably have to start making wooden handles for my current ones my ownself.

  3. The curved version is better for tree work (cuts faster), but the straight one is more versatile and still cuts plenty fast enough. I have no idea how many dozens l've gone through, both types.

  4. I'll second Tree Mike's comment on the curved blade. When you are in the pull stroke, it just naturally digs into the wood, without the sawyer having to add much downward pressure on the side of the handle. Especially nice on a pole saw.
