And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Red sweater, sky blue Chevy convertible, and S.F. before it lost its mind.
a time of sexy women and cars. When men were allowed to be men, burly hairy chested men not preening waxed little boys. And women had t--s and knew how to be mothers. And kids were free ranged allowed to grow and get hurt, learning about life. God I feel old, just turned 65
Oh my, does that bring back some memories, albeit just a few years later. My parents grew up across the bay, my dad in the Oakland hills, my mother over the hills in Lafayette. My dad later re-married, and his place was just high enough in the hills to be able to see the search light on the Farallon Islands at night, 30 miles off shore.
Let me vent a bit on the blog. Me: I always want to know WHERE a photo was taken. In this case, from Mount Sutro? Now, if it is a picture of a puppy in the window, a couple doing a two-step, and old ad, or a young babe, then WYSIWYG. Otherwise, if the scenery is the subject, e.g., the road between the river and the canyon wall, THAT is when I want to know where. Can you add that info or do you just receive/find handfuls of pretty pictures with no other identification? TIA

ReplyDeleteBefore SF started sprouting off-center giant tictacs.
ReplyDeleteYes, today SF is one of the few places where dogs step in human shit on the sidewalk.

ReplyDeleteSee those cars in that gritty reality tv-cop-show "Streets of San Francisco". I miss the old place. It was fun.

ReplyDeleteThe price of LSD is a bill that's still being paid.
ReplyDeleteFrisco is still having acid flashbacks, they're governed by the kids conceived during psychedelic trips, and it shows.
My Dad had an an Oldsmobile Starfire looked an awful lot like that.
