      built only around 300 that year as the
      Thunderbird introduction hurt sales.

  4. Someone at GM must have tried to better Henry Ford's comment of the Model T being available in any shade of black.
    1953 Corvettes were only manufactured in white. Following year white, blue, red and black became available. Following years, available colors were added in onesie-twosies but it wasn't until '58-'59 that a sizable palette became available.

  6. The only one on Brig-A-Trailer that was put up for auction did not sell due to the reserve being higher that the top bid of $1,957,507. 😳
