  1. A real flashlight. Probably brighter at 1100 lumens than the 900,000 lumen piece of crap previously. You get watcha pay fer.

  2. "Engineered in USA, manufactured in China." - no thanks, I'd rather buy a Pelican.
I have a 4 D-cell Maglite somewhere, I'm sure you could crack a skull with it and converting it to LED is as simple as changing the bulb.

    1. This.

Mine are 3 cell. I bought the following parts on Amazon to upgrade. I wound up not using them all as some of the lenses and/or reflectors were still in good shape.

    2. Got 2 Mag-Lites that I'll upgrade thanks for this steer. Now I'll date myself: Does anybody remember the Kel-Lite? This was the cop's black flashlight that was standard issue before Mag-Lites came into existence. Yup, got one a dem too, must be 40 years old or more. I'll have to see if this lens will fit.

  3. Funnily enough, I just bought this one, to keep in my truck:

It is slightly more compact, has a magnet on the end for hands-free lighting, and has two</i side arrays, giving the user a choice. Plus, it has a pretty sturdy belt clip and it comes with a camo sheath. Same 'zoom' features, and super bright. You can also plug into the light and use the battery to charge your phone.

  6. No...it is a club that can be used as a flashlight...trust me on this.

  7. That's hat the Maglite was designed to be....a club that could be used as a flashlight.

When most departments got rid of the Ballclub, then cops bought Maglites to they could have something that could be used offensively without pulling their gun.

Useful for "tuning up" a suspect.

    1. Actually, the first were not made by Mag-Lite, but by Keller industries...called Kel-Lights. I bought several of them.

  8. Stream light makes good lights, but they're expensive. Here's what I like for a big flashlight. I bought 3, for myself, my sister and my GF. Currently about $30.00.

  9. Not that I'm any expert... But, I think this a current "best buy" in flashlights.

This thing is stupid bright. Throws a clean tight beam so far, I can see the future. It drinks the battery down hot and fast, but recharges quickly. It's like a nitro-burning top fuel dragster in the palm of your hand. I've bought several. Wholeheartedly recommend this beast.

  11. The ONLY way to fly!! I've owned everything from 7 D cell Mag-lites to Mini-Mags. And...yes Mag-Lite made a 7 D Cell...Got mine in Snap-On red in the early 80's from the Snap-On man....got stolen...still makes me sick. This thing is The BOMB! You do NOT want to look directly at it up close...it is PAINFUL!! And I've owned probably 200+ flashlights over the years...still got probably 30 or 40.... If I can ever find anything that outshines this one...I'll buy 2!!
