I have yet to find any wood chisels that can stand up to being hammered on (with a wooden maul, not a metal hammer). I've built both a timber-frame house and barn, and have gone through so many wood chisels that I could fill a trash can with them. These don't look any sturdier than average.
Have a set of Stanley's I've used for over 50 years. They are indestructible. You can hammer on them all day. ( Don't buy the new Stanley stuff as it is mostly crap!) Bubbarust
