    1. Swiss take their neutrality very seriously. They saw a requirement to 'intern' pilots of either side that happened to land in their territory.

  4. Going back perhaps 15 or so generations, my father's family were Swiss. No jewelers but maybe a few cuckoo's. But who's counting?

  6. The Swiss AF is 1st Rate. Recommend John McPhee's book on Swiss military service that covers it. Something like "De La Concorde Suisse" (???/sic).
